Lawn Sprinkler Installation Near Me

Irrigation system expert installing sprinklers in Lehigh Acres FL

Watering your lawn is essential if you plan to have an attractive landscape in Southwest Florida. Sometimes it takes time to remember when or how much water is needed. Lawn sprinklers are an excellent investment for residential and commercial properties when trying to save time and cost. Although the initial investment may seem like a lot of money, you'll be a happy customer when you notice a difference in the cost of your water bill!

Sometimes, homeowners will attempt a new irrigation system installation on their own. Unfortunately, the results are different from what they'd hoped. They may lead to costly sprinkler repairs. When you call us for your lawn sprinkler project, we'll do all the work and save you the headache! Our irrigation specialists will check your landscape to recommend a suitable sprinkler system.

We'll divide your property into zones according to your lawn's water needs. Trenches are dug in each zone to lay plastic pipes that connect to the main water line. The trenches are then filled, and fresh sod is laid over them. The complete lawn sprinkler installation process usually takes only 1 to 2 days.

It's essential to make sure you hire licensed professionals for quality work. It's tempting to save money by hiring an unlicensed crew. You may even hire a friend that doesn't know the tricks of the trade, but results may vary. If you want a lawn irrigation system installed in Lehigh Acres, Fort Myers, Cape Coral, or all of Lee County, give us a call to schedule your estimate!

How are Lawn Sprinkler Systems Installed?

Step 1: Make a Plan

First, your irrigation technician will visit your residential or commercial property to assess and determine the best sprinkler system to ensure an attractive landscape. There are four main types of sprinkler irrigation systems. The size of your yard, the type of grass, and the types of plants you want water, will determine the best irrigation system suitable for you. The three types of systems are the rotor system, spray system, and soaker system. Once all the information is collected, we will decide how many zones and the type of sprinkler head your property needs. Depending on the types of plants, you may need more than one type of head.

Step 2: Dig the Trenches

We will pull pipes through the ground with a vibratory plow. Vibratory plows are much faster and easier than digging trenches, although if your soil is super compacted, trenches may need to be dug because the vibratory plow will not work. The trenches will be between 4 to 12".

Step 3: Make the Water Connection

Your irrigation professional will tap into the main line to supply water to the sprinkler system. We do this by cutting the main line and splicing in the pipes for the system.

Step 4: Sprinkler Valve Installation

The valves will help determine where to send the water in the sprinkler system.

Step 5: Connect Sprinkler Lines at the Valve Box

The water pipes in the trenches will be connected at the valve box using 90° elbow joints in the direction of the zone where the line connects.

Step 6: Install Sprinkler Heads

Depending on the best solution for your lawn, we'll connect the sprinkler heads with a suitable spray pattern.

Step 7: Connect the Controller

Your new irrigation system will be connected to the controller. This device is a timer that tells the system where and when to send water.

Step 8: Test the System

Tests are run to ensure the system sends water to the correct location at the right time. Here we can see if there are any improperly installed sprinkler heads, low water pressure, or any other installation errors. Adjustments will be made if needed.
